Maestro First glimpse -Andhadhun's official Telugu remake starring Nithin

Andhadhun, starring Ayushman Khurrana is probably one of the most original and brilliant thrillers to come out of Hindi cinema. Directed by Sreeram Raghavan, it is the journey of a blind musician as he unknowingly gets entangled in the murder of a yesteryear superstar by his own wife. The chills and thrills of this film send shivers down your spine while watching. The movie has achieved iconic status, not across Hindi but the entire country.

Now, when it was announced that Nithin will be starring in the Official Telugu remake of the film, I was a bit disappointed as I didn't know whether Nithin could do justice to that role. Also, will they end up adding commercial sensibilities just to cater it to a larger section of the Telugu audience? The first glimpse that released today on the occasion of Nithin's birthday seems to have quashed most of my doubts.

The Telugu remake titled MAESTRO stars Nithin in the role of Ayushman, Tamanna in the role of Tabu, and Nabha Natesh in the role of Radhika Apte. It is being directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and produced under the Sresht Movies banner.

The glimpse doesn't feature a dialogue and just introduces us to the main character, his passion, his house, his cat, and his piano. The background score by Mahati Swara Sagar is just brilliant. It is eerie like the shadowed shots in the glimpse and signals at an impending danger at the same time. The makers look like have stuck to the original without adding any commercial elements and Nithin seems to have fit the bill perfectly. It would be interesting to see how he performs. The film is slated for a June 2021 release.

Another interesting factor to be noticed is that Nithin is finally coming out of the lover boy commercial cinema zone and trying out new concepts and experimental flicks. His recent outing Check, though failed commercially was a good move. It definitely is a step in the good direction for him as an artist keeping in mind the incoming new talent and change in audiences' preferences. We heartfully wish him a Happy Birthday and Super success in all his future endeavors.
