Quarantine Telugu Movie Starter Pack - 2

Updated: May 22

And we are back with a second list of Telugu movies for you to watch during the quarantine. Hope you people are staying safe. Meanwhile, if you missed out on the first list of movies, you can check them out here: https://bit.ly/QuarantineTeluguPack And oh yes, we think we can begin suggesting movies that involve a bit of comedy.

Kalki

Directors love an audience that find hidden meanings in their movies, and Kalki is choc-a-bloc with them. Some are pretty obvious, while some are not. But they are lots of fun figuring out. And these meanings are the icing on the cake for this investigative thriller. Also watch out for the villain's BGM score. Goosebumps, literally.

Available on Amazon Prime

Swamy Ra Ra

A stolen Ganesha idol and at least 5 parties on the lookout for it, Swamy Ra Ra was the precursor to the comedy heist thriller genre in Tollywood. Kinda plays out as a dark comedy but one this is certain for sure. Thieving never looked more sexy and ingenious.

Available on Jio Cinema and Sun Nxt

Julayi

A hero who uses his mind as much as he uses his strength? Check. An equally powerful villain? Check. Sherlock Holmes had Moriarty while the Avengers had Thanos. This pairing is not that high profile, but gets the job done. The most mainstream of the lot, Julayi makes for an engaging watch.

Available on Hotstar

Kshanam

A call for help from an ex-flame to help search for her daughter, only to get to know that she is mentally unstable. This and the other obstacles the hero has to surpass to get to the bottom of the truth makes Kshanam a truly riveting watch.

Available on Jio Cinema and Sun Nxt

Care of Kancharapalem

This one is a gamble, because it rides on emotions. But we sincerely believe you will love it. And we will just say three words about it: "Four Love Stories". Any more and we would be spoiling it for you all.

Available on Netflix and Jio Cinema

So, that's all for now folks. We have got thank you messages for suggesting the first lot and we believe you will enjoy this lot too. And please, stay safe.

P.S - One of the movies has been remade and you would have probably seen it. But do give the original a try. Also do tell us the hidden meanings discovered in Kalki and we can exchange notes.
