The Disciple Trailer talk - Proud Marathi Film on Indian Classical Music

The Disciple is a Marathi film directed by Chaitanya Tamhane and produced by Vivek Gombre and some other big names. Now you might have been listening to their names for the first time and you might wonder why I mentioned big names in the beginning. I am talking about the Executive Producer of this film and it is ALPHONSO CUARON.

I am sure you would have heard this name and it is definitely as big as it can get. If you really don't know Alphonso Cuaron, then let me mention some of his works and you might as well drop your jaw

  1. Gravity

  2. Roma

  3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

There are many more of his works, but these are the most popular ones. If you haven't seen any one of these movies, then I would suggest you watch these definitely. They are all streaming on OTT.

If you are wondering how come such a big name is associated with this movie then, it is because Chaitanya Tamhane has had the opportunity to work with him on a few occasions. Alphonso Cuaron himself watched this movie and wanted to be associated with it in some form or the other.

The Disciple is the journey of a young man in search of divinity through classical music. He needs to fight the battles of class, talent, and every little problem associated with trying to pursue an art form as a career path in a middle-class family. The film has already been screened at major film festivals and has received accolades as well.

The movie is going to stream on Netflix from April 30. Watch the trailer below.
